This is the website of Suzanne (Sau-San) Lam, a British Illustrator and comic book artist/author.
What is DBL studio?
DBL studio is a group of artists and writers who create manga (Japanese comic book)-influenced comics. Our goal is to produce many comic book stories as we can for either publication, contests or for people to read for free on our website.
Who are the members of DBL studio?
The founder of DBL studio is Suzanne Lam (pen name: Sau-San Lam), and she is the group’s main artist. Suzanne usually illustrates her own stories and aims to publish them. Also known as San.
Tanaka-Li (real name hidden), is one of the writers of DBL studio and a quiet member of the group. Tanaka-Li wishes to keep his/her real name and identity secret. Tanaka-Li’s stories are often dark and illustrated by Suzanne.
C.Harley is an assistant artist, her job is usually toning, lettering, cleaning and finishing touches.

Can I hire you to do some artwork/ design on my [project/ comic book/ website]?
Yes. Suzanne is available for commissions, please visit the commissions page on Suzanne’s online portfolio. If you want Suzanne to illustrate a comic book you’ve written that exceeds more than 25 pages, Suzanne will have to decline. Suzanne is very busy with her own comic book projects, she cannot afford to spend too much time on commissions, unless you don’t mind delays.
Are you looking for more members?
We are not currently looking for members, the group is made up of close friends around the same area. Membership is only open to Suzanne’s friends. We will be looking for assistants in the future.
